Guido Melchior is a philosopher at the University of Graz, focusing primarily on epistemology. He received his PhD from the University of Graz in 2009 and his venia docendi in philosophy in 2018. He is the principal investigator of the FWF project ‘Knowing, Checking, and Other Epistemic Standings’ and a key researcher in the "Knowledge in Crisis" Cluster of Excellence. Melchior published the book *Knowing and Checking: An Epistemological Investigation* with Routledge. He has been a visiting scholar at Rutgers University, the University of Arizona, and the University of California, Irvine, and is an editor of Grazer Philosophische Studien.
