(Graz)
about

Lukas Schwengerer is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Graz. His current research is focused on questions at the intersection of epistemology and philosophy of mind. These include questions about the nature of self-knowledge, questions about social groups as epistemic subjects, and questions about epistemic responsibility in an online environment. For the latter, he is particularly interested in approaches drawing on virtue epistemology and investigates whether these approaches are suitable for improving epistemic practices online.

His work within the Knowledge in Crisis project will also address the impact of novel technology on self-knowledge and the prospect that technology might threaten the privileged access one has to one’s own mental states.
